Office Timing Policy

Purpose

This policy establishes clear working hours and ensures adequate provisions for lunch and prayer breaks during office hours to accommodate employees’ needs.

Policy Effective Date: 1st February 2025


Office Hours

  • Regular Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Total Work Duration: 8 hours (including breaks)

Break Schedule

To ensure productivity and accommodate personal needs, the following breaks will be observed:

Lunch Break

  • Duration: 01 Hour
  • Timing: 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

Friday Timings

  • Regular Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Total Work Duration: 9 hours (including breaks)

    Lunch and Namaz Break

  • Duration: 1.5 hours
  • Timing: 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM

Break Guidelines

  1. Adherence: Employees are encouraged to adhere strictly to the allocated times for each break.
  2. Prayer Breaks: Designed to provide sufficient time for employees to perform prayers without interrupting workflow.
  3. Adjustments: The exact timing of prayer breaks may be adjusted during the year to align with varying prayer times.
  4. Supervisors’ Role: Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the break schedule does not affect business operations.

Implementation

  • Employees should coordinate with their teams to ensure proper coverage during prayer and lunch breaks.
  • Managers are encouraged to support employees in utilizing these breaks appropriately.

Flexibility

  • Special Periods: Flexibility in break timings may be provided during specific periods (e.g., Ramadan) to accommodate longer prayer times or fasting needs.
  • Adjustments: Managers can make changes to the break schedule and must communicate these adjustments in advance to employees.

Compliance

  • All employees are expected to comply with the break timings to maintain a balance between personal and professional responsibilities.
  • Managers must ensure the policy is implemented fairly and equitably across all teams.
  • Managers, Leads, PMs, and the COO have the discretion to modify break timings as necessary.

Additional Notes

  • Prayer Time Alignment: Adjustments to prayer break timings will be made throughout the year to align with the exact prayer times.
  • Queries: If any team member has specific or unique queries, they are encouraged to reach out to the HR representative for assistance.
